The non-profit Biordo Institute of Promotion was established to promote organic natural products on an international level.
Biordo was the first institute to promote organic products that dealt with "Bio" in the non-food sector and could introduce a set of comprehensive "Bio" and "Eco" labels for natural products. Contrary to common labels in this sector, products awarded a Biordo label do not contain synthesized resources or genetically modified organisms (GMO). They also comply with the standards of the Swiss Animal Protection (SAP).
We represent the common interests of consumers and manufacturers and cooperate with universities and organizations in the sectors of organic farming, animal protection, research, environmentalism, consumerism and botany.
